$24/hour Fairfield-Suisun Unified School District Program Leaderswork with an assigned group of students, student to staff ratio iscontingent upon CDC guidelines. This is a part time, in-personposition in districts and school site locations throughoutCalifornia. Program Leaders act as a positive adult role model,coach, and mentor. Program Leaders must have a genuine interest inthe growth, development, and provision of a safe and nurturingenvironment for the students they teach. A Program Leader’s abilityto establish authority and connections through leadership,communication, and most importantly patience, will be required ingiving our students the stability and nurturing atmosphere theyneed to succeed. Ensuring that Think Together students reach theirpotential takes a tremendous amount of hard work, flexibility, andcommitment.
Responsibilities:
Lead a group of students in anin-person setting, maintaining high standards for behavior andsafety by implementing the Think Together four core agreements: Besafe. o Be respectful. o Be responsible. o Have fun. Serve as apositive adult role model for children in the program throughappropriate dress, speech, and attitude. Create an engagingenvironment that fosters a sense of belonging that kids want to bein. Support students in making positive behavior choices and takedisciplinary measures when appropriate. Identify student needs andcommunicate to Site Program Manager, teachers, schooladministration and parents, as appropriate. Participate in staffdevelopment
In Person Learning:
- Provide homework assistance,academic enrichment and physical activity using curriculum andmaterials provided by the program.
- Work directly with a group of20-25 students in a classroom setting, implementing classroom andbehavior management strategies.
- Assist daily with snackpreparation, serving and clean up.
- Assist in set up, break down,and ongoing maintenance to keep the school or community site cleanand orderly.
- Maintain student safety by taking roll and reviewingsign-in/sign-outs for students activities. Qualifications ℜquirements:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D. Required.
- District-specific – 48 semester/60 quarter units and/or pass apre-employment test.
- Ability to speak and write Standard Englishappropriate in a public-school setting.
- Must pass Live Scan(criminal background check via fingerprinting)
- Provide negativeTB Test dated within the last 3 years.
- At least six monthsexperience working with a group of 10 or more students in aclassroom, afterschool, or recreation environment.
- Advanced Mathand English skills (K-8)
- Excellent communication skills (Writtenand Verbal)
