Short Term Program Manager 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 101 Marshall Lane, Derby, CT 06418 APEX International Education Partners (APEX) was established in 2011 to assist U.S. secondary educational institutions with the recruitment and hosting of international students. Our goal is to promote greater diversity in U.S. high schools, facilitate cultural awareness amongst American and international students, and ease the process of living and learning abroad. Through the years, APEX has created a portfolio of private day schools located in more than 10 states, a private dormitory in Connecticut, and host families that oversee the well-being, care, safety and education of international students annually. Our program ensures that students will succeed not only academically, but also socially while integrating into the American culture and education system.
Short-term Program Coordinator Position Overview:
As the Short-term Program Coordinator at APEX, you will play a pivotal role in the planning, execution, and success of various short-term programs aimed at enriching students’ educational experiences while aligning with business goals. These programs encompass a wide range of initiatives, including but not limited to Winter Shadowing, summer programs, Model United Nations Conferences, school partnership programs such as “3+0” and “2+1” programs, community service initiatives, background enhancement programs, and other short-term student support endeavors.
Key Responsibilities:
1.
Marketing Material Development:
Design and create comprehensive marketing materials such as posters, introductory files, videos, and other collateral to effectively promote our short-term programs. 2.
Program Facilitation:
Facilitating the entire lifecycle of all short-term programs. This includes consulting with potential clients, providing training to partners and staff, facilitating the registration process, communicating with partner schools in both China and the U.S., coordinating interdepartmental communication, and assisting students with all aspects of program preparation, including registration, fee collection, providing visa supporting document, physical examination guidance, flight bookings recommendations, airport transfers (group pick-up and drop-off arrangement), orientation sessions facilitating, and in-session support activities such as chaperoning, photography, and program feedback and summarization. 3.
Public Relations Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with consultants and partner schools to ensure ongoing collaboration and satisfaction. 4.
Flexibility and Assistance:
Remain adaptable and responsive to the evolving needs of APEX’s short-term programs, providing support in various capacities as required and directed. 5.
Innovation and Idea Development:
Encourage and contribute to the generation of innovative ideas aimed at enhancing all aspects of our short-term activities, fostering creativity and continuous improvement. 6.
Travel Requirements:
Be prepared for domestic and international business travel as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Business Administration, International Relations) preferred. Previous experience in program coordination, event management, or related fields highly desirable. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a customer service-oriented approach. Willingness to adapt to a dynamic work environment and contribute positively to a collaborative team culture. Must have valid driver’s license and current passport.
