Job Summary Join our Danbury, CT team as aPrincipal Program Manager responsible for the financial managementof a large, complex program, or several smaller complex programsfor an organization or LOB (line of business).

Financial support toinclude:

internal and external monthly/weekly financial reporting,analysis of results and associated impact to program and Line ofBusiness, EAC development and variance analysis, contract fundinglimitations and notifications, accurate and complete projectset-up, timely corrections/maintenance of cost reports. Drivecontinuous improvement in department performance. Apply criticalthinking to assist site management in identifying risk anddeveloping risk mitigation strategies. Ensure GAAP and Corporatepolicies guiding revenue recognition are adhered to on everycontract and properly reflected in Site plans and forecasts.

Develop Line of Business sales, bookings, profit, programinvestment and cash forecasts from ongoing contracts and newbusiness opportunities. Evaluate, coach, and develop staff. Provideleadership and guidance. This senior position will lead and overseethe Commercial Nuclear Portfolio and is responsible for thesuccessful delivery of complex safety related nuclear programs,while ensuring alignment with organizational goals and meetingregulatory compliance requirements and customer expectations. Theideal candidate will bring deep industry knowledge of thecommercial nuclear sector and a proven track record in managingmulti-disciplinary teams and large-scale and high-volume nuclearprograms. What You Will Do Manage and direct the daily execution ofmultiple programs within contract requirements to assure that cost,schedules and performance goals are met and ensure proper methodsare followed to track program cost, schedules, and performanceacross LOB Track all program cost, schedules and performanceagainst established program milestones; reporting the status tomanagement stakeholders on a regular basis Develop and implementrecovery plans for yellow and red programs (i.e. schedule,technical performance) May be required to ensure the overallexecution of material on schedule and on budget for a business areaEnsures program methodologies for the LOB and the programmanagement directives are followed Work closely with existingcustomers and obtain feedback on the company’s performance Workclosely with business development, marketing, and sales to enhancethe business portfolio Develop internal relationships withmanagement stakeholders Manage Program Management development toinclude coaching, teaching, retaining, attracting, and mentoringConducts monthly program reviews that identify root-cause andcorrective action as well as continuous improvement and financialperformance Develop processes for identifying, assessing,monitoring and mitigating risk throughout the program lifecycle Maypartner with various stakeholders on planning process and systemimprovements Conduct market research to identify trends, customerneeds, and competitive activity for the Commercial Nuclear SectorCollaborate with the marketing and product teams to alignstrategies and drive growth for the Commercial Nuclear portfolioEducation & Experience Requirements Bachelors degree inEngineering, Business, or a related field or an equivalentcombination of education and experience; a minimum of 10 years ofrelated experience Knowledge of program management tools andprocedures Solid leadership and management skills Experiencethroughout the program lifecycle from development throughsustainment to include: proposal development, requirementsdecomposition, generation of system and subsystem statements ofwork and subcontracts, risk management, and continuous improvementefforts including implementation cost reduction and performanceimprovement efforts Experience with earned value cost accountingand reporting; experience with metrics for assessing and reportingprogram progress, productivity and variance analysis Experience infinance, contracting, export regulations, engineering, logistics,manufacturing and supply chain management Solid problem solvingskills and excellent presentation ability Experience with managingmanpower planning, project reviews, scheduling and budget controlAbility to manage aerospace/defense programs as a prime orsubcontractor to a domestic or foreign military organizationProgram Management certification preferred (i.e. PMP or DAU) Mustbe able to demonstrate leadership of a program portfolio in whichfinancial objectives were achieved Prefer experience withturnaround programs in which recovery was successful Experiencemanaging a commercial nuclear safety related application includingproduct design and development programs Familiar with 10 CFRAppendix B and NQA 1 requirements U.S. Citizenship required. Thisposition may require an active DOD security clearance or theability to obtain such clearance within a reasonable time aftercommencement of employment.
