OPS Program Support Specialist Classification Minimum Requirements:
High School Diploma The Program Support Specialist will provide administrative and logistical support to the Associate Chair of Academics and Graduate Program Coordinator at the Department of Engineering Education in the Herbert Wertheim College of Engineering. This short-term position will provide administrative support in organizing records, scheduling, assisting with event planning and supporting daily department operations. The individual should be familiar with the academic environment of UF, either as a student or graduate, have attention to detail, be professional, be an excellent oral and written communicator, ethical, and work great in teams. While technical expertise is a plus priority will be given to those applicants that also have experience working in office environments and who have editorial (technical writing) experience. Key responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with updating and organizing key programmatic documents, helping to plan, coordinate, and support student events, scheduling, among others. For select tasks, training may be required and provided.
Work Schedule:
Up to 20 hours/week (flexible based on weekly workload) Must be available for in-person event
Expected Salary:
$15 per hour
Required Qualifications:
High School Diploma, familiar with academic environment.
Preferred:
Prior work in office environments Editorial, technical writing experience Communication expertise (oral and written) Strong attention to detail and organization Proficiency with Google docs/sheets, Qualtrics, Canvas, Microsoft Office, Excel, Teams, and other collaborative platforms.
