Job Description:
Project oversight and supervision of the Summer program staff including camp counselors, interns, drivers, kitchen staff and volunteers as well as overseeing proper disciplinary actions for Summer camp attendees.

$17 per hour

Special Projects Coordinator Entry Qualifications Required:
Bachelors degree preferred. Position requires experience managing staff and projects, teaching, and proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. Must have excellent organizational and communications skills. Some travel may be required; valid Florida Driver License, insurance and reliable transportation required.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Job duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: 1. Oversee the operation of the Summer Leadership Camp and facilitating operations are staying on schedule and assisting with improvising scheduling conflicts when deemed necessary. 2. Provide daily communication and instruction to interns, staff, volunteer personal, and scheduled visitors regarding the activities scheduled for the day(s). 3. Responsible for maintaining all required documentation including but not limited to invoices, purchase requisitions, purchasing receipts, medical records, and personnel records for both staff and campers. 4. Ensure the number of meals served meet all required regulations, while overseeing the staff who are responsible for maintaining regulations. 5. Act as community liaison for the program helping to recruit, advertise, or speak on behalf of the program if deemed necessary. 6. Assisting with the selection and oversight of interns placed at the Summer Leadership Camp. 7. Assisting to establish an activity schedule/calendar in conjunction with the Special Projects Coordinator ensuring that the calendar is followed and that camp counselors rotate students in activities as scheduled. 8. Assist in arranging field trips, including the filing and provision of appropriate forms while students are on field trips. Ensure that students who do not follow rules on field trips are dealt with appropriately and that parents are made aware of disciplinary issues both on site and off. 9. Coordinate the use of volunteers and guest activity directors properly. 10. Review and approval of staff timesheets to the Summer Program Admin Assistant. Must denote time taken off by staff on a daily basis and keep record of staff schedules. 11. Ensure facilities and equipment are maintained and kept in an acceptable, safe location. 12. Be well informed of opportunities in Port St. Joe and surrounding area. 13. Plan and implement special events with the Special Projects Coordinator. 14. Coordinate resources and personnel to accomplish desired goals and outcomes. 15. Complete staff and intern evaluations alongside the Special Projects Coordinator. 16. Adhere to direction given regarding separation of duties for purposes of internal controls. 17. May be asked to perform other duties as necessary and assigned.
