Requirements:

- 2 months experience
- Valid Florida Drivers’ License
- Summary
- Coordinates and facilitates domestic violence primary prevention initiative activities, such as domestic violence education/awareness presentations, community action team meetings, and multi-session curriculum delivery.
Develops and implements domestic violence awareness and primary prevention prevention-oriented materials and marketing. Provides supportive counseling and assistance to child/youth survivors of domestic violence and their families.
Essential Functions
- Develops annual primary prevention implementation plan and tracks activities
- Coordinates and facilitates domestic violence primary prevention initiative activities
- Conducts primary prevention programming with youth, parents, and/or community members
- Recruits traditional and non-traditional partners for educational and other implementation activities
- Engages with various community partners on various prevention activities
- Develops, implements, and maintains a youth community action team
- Development and implementation of ongoing domestic violence awareness and primary prevention-focused educational marketing to include multiple vehicles for distribution
- such as social media, brochures, flyers, calendars, etc
- Distributes brochures and related materials in the community
- Facilitates groups for youth and children and youth served by the program
- Facilitates other educational and recreational activities for children and youth served by the program
- Participates in learning calls and training events
- Provides crisis counseling and advocacy assistance to survivors of domestic violence
- Provides information and referral information to survivors and community members
- Assists in coordination of any special events conducted by this program to raise crime victim awareness
- Assists in seasonal projects
- Attends required staff meetings
- Completes employee training to meet requirements according to contract specifications.
