Job Summary Performs professional work coordinating various programs supporting County operations. Essential Functions
- Coordinates operational programs in support of Division or Department objectives; participates in the planning, development, and coordination of programs and/or special events.
- Participates in the promotion, explanation and interpretation of public outreach objectives, benefits and programs; develops and establishes appropriate communications and manages a proactive approach to information dissemination to County staff and/or the public.
- Coordinates the activities of assigned support, administrative and office functions; reviews and processes a variety of internal and external reports, forms, invoices, contracts and related documents; prepares related statistical summaries and narrative reports.
- Receives and responds to requests, inquiries and complaints from the public, other jurisdictions and other County Divisions, Departments and sections; prepares and proofreads correspondence for format, accuracy and completeness; coordinates activities with and provides information to outside contractors and service providers.
- Summarizes and assembles reports and information, trend analysis and prepares information releases; develops, plans, and drafts various Department documents, reports, projects related material.
- Performs a variety of administrative duties for the program; assist in the preparation of program budget development documents, tracks expenditures and revenues.
- Assesses potential site locations for special events, recreational activities and determines potential use.
- Assists the Program Manager in supervision and training.
- Coordinates the timely review of all types of plans, plats, petitions, and documents submitted for review; checks submittals for required items; enter information into computer; calculates fees; prepares files; routes information to reviewers; checks pending reviews for completion; research staff’s comments and assists clients with interpreting review comments.
- Serves as primary point of contact for applicants, residents, and senior management for elevated land use projects, Code Enforcement violations resolution, and building permits; daily follow-up is required until project is completed.
- Provides various liaison functions related to assigned projects; applies and explains policy regulations and operating procedures as required. Minimum Qualifications
- Associate degree required.
- Three (3) years of related experience.
- Candidates without a degree should possess two (2) additional years of related experience.
