This is a fully in-person position with no opportunities for remote work./ 5-Day Work Week The Impact of This Position As the Improvement and Training Specialist at The Shelter, you will play a crucial role in curating educational content for staff and participants, fostering community partnerships, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality advocacy services. You will collaborate with program managers and the Quality Improvement Team, to develop engaging training materials for staff and cultivate meaningful partnerships that align with The Shelter’s mission. Demonstrated ability to write compelling, easily digestible narratives, emails, and/or reference guides Essential Functions Assist with Program’s comprehension of Logic Models and grant deliverables Collaborate with program managers and the Contracts & Reporting Manager to develop interactive multimedia-based training modules and videos for staff and participants. Collect and analyze data for grants reporting and Development team initiatives, ensuring compliance with grant and funding guidelines. Conduct live or recorded workshops for participants and non-direct service staff. Curate and deliver educational content on advocacy best practices, participant resources, and community partnerships to The Shelter’s staff. Design surveys and assessments to capture participant experiences and evaluate program efficacy. Develop and update program publications such as participant and advocacy handbooks, ensuring a high standard of quality and relevance. Educate direct service staff on financial literacy programming to enhance their support for participants. Facilitate the delivery of economic empowerment and literacy programming. Manage, coordinate, and maintain all VOCA Advocate Victim’s Compensation certifications, applications, applications status updates and results. Facilitate BVC check distribution with The Shelter’s program staff. Other duties as assigned by supervisor Plan and coordinate financial workshops with community partners. Support Contracts & Reporting Manager in preparation of monthly, quarterly, annual, and other grant reports, as needed. Provide technical assistance and support to direct service staff on utilizing Osnium, The Shelter’s Aggregate Data System. Utilize various social media platforms to identify relevant influencers and speakers who can contribute to The Shelter’s mission and advocate for culturally inclusive programming. Work with The Shelter’s Community Education & Training advocate to cultivate and strengthen community partnerships that enhance The Shelter’s Programs & Services, aligning with the organization’s mission.
