Program Manager Ascend Technologies Group, LLC Tampa, FL 33602 POSITION SUMMARY Ascend Technologies Group is seeking a highly driven and experienced Program Manager to lead the execution and delivery of complex, data-driven projects across our life sciences portfolio. You will serve as the operational anchor between internal teams and external stakeholders—pharma, biopharma, payors, and oncology practices—ensuring that timelines, communication, and cross-functional alignment are airtight. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, a commanding presence, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup environment. You will be responsible for keeping all aspects of project planning, execution, and reporting on track, while also identifying and managing risks and ensuring downstream and upstream communication flows seamlessly .

OBJECTIVES

Serve as the central point of contact for customer deliveries, managing all aspects of project execution, timelines, and risk registers for life sciences clients (pharma, biopharma, payors, practices). Deliver weekly status reports to customers and internal stakeholders, providing clear updates on project progress, risks, and milestones to ensure transparency and alignment. Utilize Smartsheet and Jira with high competency to plan, track, and manage project workflows, ensuring timelines are met and risks are proactively mitigated. Prepare and deliver polished, executive-level presentations and updates that distill complex program activities into clear business insights and impact. Take ultimate ownership of project outcomes, proactively identifying and addressing challenges before they escalate, with a forward-thinking, solution-oriented approach. Lead cross-functional syncs and internal standups to ensure communication is consistent and that handoffs between departments (e.g., data science, technical leads, operations, product, commercial) are seamless. Collaborate with leadership to align on strategic goals and ensure delivery timelines, customer expectations, and internal priorities remain coordinated. Anticipate customer needs and project risks, and propose mitigation strategies early, maintaining a delivery-ready mindset at every phase of the project lifecycle. Command meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders alike, establishing confidence and clarity through professional presence and communication.

COMPETENCIES

7+ years of program management experience, with a proven track record of managing complex, customer-facing projects in a fast-paced life sciences or healthcare environment. Demonstrated expertise in Smartsheet and Jira for project planning, tracking, and reporting, with an ability to develop structured, transparent workflows. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with life sciences stakeholders (e.g., pharma executives, practice leaders). Proactive, forward-thinking, and solution-oriented mindset, with an ultimate ownership mentality; comfortable taking initiative and addressing challenges head-on. Fast learner and high performer, ready to jump in and make an immediate impact on project delivery and target achievement. Highly organized, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Professional and confident demeanor with the ability to represent Ascend as the face of delivery for high-profile accounts. Familiarity with life sciences, including pharma, biopharma, payors, and oncology practices, and an understanding of their unique project needs (e.g., data compliance, clinical workflows).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Prior experience in oncology, real-world data, clinical trial enablement, or data delivery in a startup or high-growth environment. PMP or similar certification. Experience supporting HIPAA, or FDA-regulated data projects.
