Job Description

IGNITE Program Coordinator 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars Tallahassee, FL Department The FSU Office of Research is looking to fill the role of Program Coordinator for the IGNITE Program. Responsibilities The IGNITE Program Coordinator is responsible for supporting the establishment and maintenance of the program’s administrative operations, processes and procedures, client relations, and other duties that support the success of the program’s initiatives. The position reports to the IGNITE Program Director of the startup incubator program. The IGNITE Program Coordinator serves in an external-facing role and requires a high degree of professionalism and administrative acumen.

Responsibilities for this position include:
Administrative Support:

Manage administrative operations, purchasing, and reporting for the program. Assists in establishing and maintaining processes and procedures, draft agreements, and form templates. Greet guests to incubator building, exercising judgement in screening and referring visitors, inquiries, and phone calls.

Program Coordination and Project Support:

Schedule and attend meetings, serve as record keeper for collaborations, and prepare presentations to demonstrate the program’s reach, scope, and impact. Track project status, monitor project progress, assess results, report on risks or delays, and communicate to relevant teammates and stakeholders to ensure deliverables are within scope and budget. Support planning, preparation, and effectuate of program events.

Progress Tracking and Metrics Reporting:

Under the IGNITE Program Director’s guidance and supervision, prepare reports for evaluation of the program, support of federal grant funding, economic impacts, and ad hoc reporting and analysis for IGNITE activities and projects as needed. Maintain a database(s) of clients, internal and external participants, partners, mentors, and investors. This position requires an understanding of metrics and reporting constructs to provide transparent, accurate, and timely information to stakeholders.

Relationship Management:

Serve as liaison with students, staff, faculty, researchers, clients, mentors, community partners, and stakeholders to facilitate communication and resolve conflicts. Manage program commitments and proactively re-prioritize assignments or modify tasks when necessary.

Stakeholder Communication:

Act as point of contact between the leadership team, clients, stakeholders, university staff and faculty, and partners to ensure effective communication and seamless coordination of internal and interdepartmental projects lead by the Office of Research. Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (

a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.) Preferred Qualifications Experience in project management, startup incubators/accelerators, legal office (paralegal), or related administration coordination. Other Information The Strategic Partnerships and Innovation (SPI) team within the Office of Research consists of the IGNITE Incubation Program, Commercialization, and Business & Industry Solutions organizational units. This position supports the IGNITE Incubation Program.
