Serves as point of contact for the externship placement process and as program liaison to students, graduate, program faculty, and other campus departments, placement offices, and the Florida Supreme Court. Plan, organize, and promote occasional outreach and marketing events for the Externship program. Creates digital media marketing for the program to include e-mail, digital signage, and social media. Assists faculty in educating students and others on the value of externships and how they fit into students’ law careers. Communicates with professionals in other departments and in the community to maintain progress of assigned activities. Helps develop and deliver presentations about externships and related courses. Attends other Law school events and meetings to represent the Externship Office and remain informed of the activities of related departments. Administers Canvas sites for all externships and courses taught by assigned faculty. Manages content posting and resolves issues related to course materials. Collaborates with program faculty to evaluate and implement existing application processes as assigned. Reviews for completion and processes applications for the externships and courses of assigned faculty. Assists with the preparation of exam materials for the Externship Program and the exam administration process as assigned. Provides back-up coverage to other offices as assigned and assist with special projects. Perform other duties, as assigned. Qualifications A high school diploma/equivalent and four years of experience; or a Bachelor’s degree (

post high-school education and/or experience may substitute at a comparable rate.) Preferred Qualifications A Bachelor’s degree or progress toward a degree is preferred. Prior experience in an educational or office setting is preferred. Proficiency with Canvas. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of standard office equipment, office practices, procedures, and etiquette. Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple work assignments, and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. The applicant should be a self-starter: has the ability to take the initiative to complete tasks, assignments, projects etc. and perform duties and responsibilities with respect to work demands. Possess a high-level of organizational skills and takes steps to ensure tasks are not overlooked or dropped.
