Job Description

Facilitator I Be Strong International Palmetto Bay, FL 33157 • Hybrid work The Facilitator I will coordinate and collaborate with youth, parents, employees of Miami Dade County and Broward County Public Schools along with community-based organizations. The Facilitator will be responsible for communicating with schools for the purpose of scheduling sessions throughout the school year. The Facilitator will prepare/implement lessons, present educational materials, and coordinate with teachers on meeting spaces for group trainings, meetings, healthy relationship workshops, effective communication workshops and positive youth development sessions such as financial literacy workshops. Additional Responsibilities and Duties. Completed all mandated professional development trainings per funder requirements. Implement mandated curricula as stated in the agency contract agreement. Adhere to agency-wide training requirements to ensure program and curriculum fidelity. Collect and review all required paperwork, ensuring all information is filled in correctly and submitted on time. Assist administration with program reporting as needed. Effectively meet the desired number of participants and services performed for the specific program requirements. Identify and educate participants throughout Miami Dade and Broward County Public Schools, private schools, community organizations and other special programs in the community. Assist other facilitators as needed in the implementation of educational sessions or additional positive youth development courses and activities. Assist in the preparation of community events. Communicate and advocate effectively for positive health behaviors among participants. Monitor and assess participants that may need referral services, as needed. Regularly checks and sends correspondence as needed via email and or project management system. Commute in a timely manner to assigned job sites as required. Adhere to the agency’s core values. Attend all required agency-wide and individual staff meetings and/or trainings (locally and nationally). Responsibly represent the agency with a high standard of professionalism. Experience in community relations and/or public speaking. Proficiency in computer skills and programs such as

Microsoft Office:

Word, PowerPoint, Outlook. Complete any required training before the deadline (as provided by the onboarding process or your direct coordinator upon hire). Other duties as required or assigned. Required Experience, Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree or three (3) or more years of experience in a related field. English language is required (can read, write and speak fluently). Leadership skills to lead team members towards achieving a common goal. Excellent self-starter and self-motivated. Proficiency in computer skills and programs such as

Microsoft Office:

Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel. Ability to learn new software and utilize new tools. Time Management skills. Detailed oriented. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal). Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus Must be able to successfully pass Level II background check. Must possess a sense of urgency. Must be able to prioritize tasks effectively.

Essential Job Demands and Responsibilities:

Have reliable transportation. Able to travel to multiple locations in a single day (sometimes within various counties). Available to work occasional evenings, weekends, overnights, and conduct out of state travel as required. Implement core values for all tasks and activities within the workplace. Under special circumstances, available for work beyond 5:00 p.m. or during office closures as needed.

Physical Demands:

This position is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, speak, and hear.
