GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Educate Manager leads and drives the vision, strategy, and day-to-day execution of the Educate Program—empowering youth ages 0-24 with the tools, resources, and support needed to thrive academically. This role requires a highly motivated, self-directed professional who can lead with vision, initiative, and accountability. With three core services— Educate Coaching, Tailored Tutoring , and Tools & Resources Distribution —this role is hands-on and strategic. The Educate Manager ensures services are trauma-informed, responsive, and aligned with the unique needs of each youth we serve in Orange, Osceola, and Seminole counties. This position requires someone who doesn’t wait for direction to make things better—they see gaps, bring solutions, and take ownership of outcomes. The ideal candidate is a confident communicator, thoughtful collaborator, and mission-aligned leader who can balance immediate priorities with long-term planning.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
(including, but are not limited to): Program Strategy & Ownership Work closely with Senior Manager of Program Operations to plan, implement, and ensure continuous improvement of all Educate Program initiatives. Proactively identify program needs and initiate discussions with leadership to bring forward solutions—not just challenges. Build out infrastructure, tools, and workflows that allow the program to scale efficiently and equitably. Educate Coaching Initiative Oversee delivery of coaching services for youth aged 12-14, ensuring personalized education goals and consistent support. Provide structure, feedback, and accountability for coaching efforts and youth progress reporting. Tutoring Initiative Develop individualized academic goals for all youth receiving tutoring and track their progress toward success. Match students to the appropriate tutoring partner based on academic needs: Collaborate with tutoring agencies to ensure services are trauma-informed, effective, and well-documented. Set expectations for file management, invoice collection, and service delivery in partnership with executive leadership. Tools & Resources Initiative Manage the distribution of academic resources—laptops, school supplies, books, graduation attire, and more—to eligible youth. Ensure timely processing of requests and equitable access for all youth across the three counties. Monitor budget, vendor partnerships, and inventory to ensure smooth operations. Youth Advocacy & Engagement Serve as a primary advocate for youth within the school system, coordinating with caregivers, educators, and social workers. Facilitate youth goal setting and feedback through surveys and self-assessments. Conduct regular service check-ins and send handwritten notes to students and caregivers to maintain personal connection and accountability. Data, Reporting & Evaluation Maintain accurate records on services provided, student attendance, progress, and program impact. Prepare program reports for leadership, funders, and stakeholders. Use data to inform decision-making, adjust strategies, and continuously improve outcomes. Internal Collaboration & Team Support Work closely with other program managers to ensure alignment and coordination across services. Train and support staff members and tutors in effective educational strategies and trauma-informed practices. Offer guidance on complex educational barriers and support case-by-case problem solving. Community Engagement & Partnerships Build and nurture relationships with community organizations, schools, and service providers to expand opportunities for youth. Represent the Educate Program at community meetings, outreach events, and partner gatherings. Promote awareness of the educational barriers faced by youth in foster care and work toward systems-level solutions. Professional Growth & Development Stay current on trends in education, child welfare, and trauma-informed care. Participate in professional development and share learnings with the broader team. Model a leadership style that reflects adaptability, integrity, and continuous improvement. Work Environment & Expectations Standard hours are Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM – 4:00 PM , but leadership is expected to deliver on responsibilities—regardless of the clock. If youth or client needs arise outside of standard hours, the Educate Manager is expected to respond with professionalism and flexibility to ensure high-quality service. Evenings and weekends may occasionally be required based on seasonal needs or events—typically with at least one month’s notice .
Compensation & Benefits PTO:
21 paid time off (PTO) days per year, plus 1 floating PTO day—totaling 22 paid days annually .
