The role you’ll contribute: The Nursing Program Coordinator is responsible for the overall coordination of the nursing program which they are assigned to including the education and supervision of students in the online classroom and clinical practice settings. Under the direction of the Assistant Dean, the Coordinator will actively participate in outstanding customer service and accept responsibility for maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all. Manages the Nursing program which they are assigned ot including the selection process of adjuncts, overseeing accreditation and other review activities. Representation of the program at the departmental and institutional level, providing mentorship and leadership to students and faculty. Develops, designs, and delivers course instruction, participates in student advising and mentoring, and engages in the academic roles of teaching, service, scholarship, and research. Reviews and assists with revisions for the program policies and procedures, Identifies and recommends appropriate community agency learning sites for clinical learning experiences. The Coordinator will work with faculty and university support services to advance and sustain the quality of online education. Represent the Nursing program to the Department of Nursing Administration Identifies appropriate community agency linkages for student learning experiences Participates in student scholarly activities Designs, coordinates, and implements program curriculum Engages in program planning and assessment at the department and institutional level Engages in fiscal management and allocation of resources, including long-term planning Completes faculty evaluations and communicates results to support ongoing faculty professional development Assumes responsibility for program accreditation and annual reports to the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education Develops, designs, and delivers instruction in courses Participates in student advising and mentorship Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Academic doctoral degree (DNP or PhD) from a regionally accredited university Two years of experience in teaching in nursing undergraduate programs Two years Instructional design experience Two years’ experience in developing nursing undergraduate programs Two years Online education or instructional technology experience Active unencumbered RN, Multi-State Compact Active membership in state and national professional associations
