Responsibilities Develop activity programs while ensuring linkage with support plan goals for individuals receiving services in Quest ADT program. Promote programs to provide meaningful day activities and variety in areas of arts, fitness/active movement, adult education, social and community involvement Plan meaningful day activities for assigned facility including completion of activity plans, resource acquisition, scheduling, and communicating to ADT Activity instructors and other facility leadership Manage and supervise ADT Activity Instructors including competency-based training on the implementation of activity programs, monitoring routine programming by staff, tracking of progress of towards individual goals, and quality assurance of programs versus design Model the delivery of routine, daily activity programming to individuals served. Develop partnerships with staff which positively affects the environment and effectively engage others in problem solving barriers to progress Document progress of individuals on activity goals through completion of routine IPP reports Ensure routine community inclusion trips occur through developing/maintaining relationships with community inclusion locations, proper planning of trips and oversight of trips themselves; Communicate with homes to ensure people attending the outings have permission to participate and money if needed Ensure routine volunteer visiting programs occur at facility through developing/ maintaining relationships with volunteer partners, proper scheduling of guests, and oversight of programs themselves Increase visibility of art program and the work of the individuals participating in the program through art presentation/sales and performances. Initiate and maintain relationships with outside arts partners. Track and document communications Conduct skill validations when participant has mastered his/her acquisition programs Manage activities budget including independently contracting with outside activity providers/groups Organize and maintain supplies utilized for activities/curriculum through an organized inventory and needs assessment system Assist in the development, compliance, and reporting requirements for respective and prospective grantors/funders pertaining to Quest ADT Activity programming Provide positive interaction with participants and staff respecting individual differences. Serve as role model in the environment Organize and maintain activities calendar through coordination with ADT Management. Calendar to synergize with activity and daily routine schedules Meet all training/meeting obligations Follow all Quest policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university required (preferred in Recreation/Leisure, Arts, or similar field) 2 years of successful experience and employment in writing programs/activity plans and teaching/leading activities for individuals with developmental disabilities required Florida Driver’s License with no more than two moving violations in the past three years Able to work in the US and not require Visa Sponsorship from our company now or in the future Teach staff how to implement activity programs effectively through hands on instruction, encouragement, and direction Creatively develop activity programs to meet client’s goals/development needs that can be easily translated and implemented by ADT teams Problem-solve issues/struggles in implementation of activity programs and adjust accordingly Balance time commitment of program development (office time) versus program instruction (floor time) Build and maintain community partnerships to enhance programming on and off site Communicate high level thoughts and ideas in a manner that is understandable to al Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veterans
