REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate degree, Bachelor degree preferred
- Two (2) years experience in a professional level position
- Possess a valid Florida Driver’s License; if a holder of a ny other valid US state-issued Driver’s License, agree to
acquire a Florida Driver’s License within thirty (30) days of employment, except in a case where accommodation is

POSITION GOAL
To serve as a College Success Coach/Student Advocate as it relates to the Take Stock in Children Program
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES 1.
- Serve as a professional representative of FUTURES, Inc., including making key calls, working on special event,
developing program strategy, enhancing program relations, and implementing program initiatives. 2. - Develop key business partnerships on behalf of Take Stock in Children [TSiC]. 3.
- Maintain and develop contacts for the organization with interest in supporting public education events and programs. 4.
- Maintain current content of student/parent contract. 5.
- Maintain current student release forms. 6.
- Implement a communication plan with students and document occurrences through multiple processes which
include a statewide TSiC online database 7. - Monitor individual student performance (grades, attendance, behavior, standardized test scores, etc.) and identify
and address student issues. 8. - Create programs and policies to address student issues in collaboration with the Program Coordinator and
FUTURES Director. 9. - Implement and monitor student success plans where necessary, using identified resource programs. 10.
- Collaborate on criteria/process for student selection with the Program Coordinator and/or FUTURES Director. 11.
- Define the role and responsibilities of TSiC contacts; recruit TSiC contacts at all schools and implement a
communication plan with them in collaboration with the Program Coordinator and FUTURES Director. 12. - Report student performance to FUTURES and Take Stock in Children through multiple processes which can include an
online database, email and manual entries. 13. - Form and maintain key alliances with school district program representatives (drop-out prevention) to provide a holistic
set of services to students, including affiliate program offerings (participation requirements, benefits, etc.
)

- Develop rapport and maintain/document mentor, student, parent, and school contacts. 15.
- Plan and execute appropriate mentor/ student/parent activities with the Program Coordinator and FUTURES Director as
designated, including the contract-signing/graduation event (evening or weekend event). 16. - Coordinate Junior/Senior night and orientations. 17.
- Develop and review probation criteria, as needed. 18.
- Monitor scholarships through the Florida Prepaid Tuition program in collaboration with the Program Coordinator and/or
FUTURES Director. 19. - Participate in designated conference calls, seminars, programs, events and surveys, some of which may involve
evenings, weekends and overnight stays (one or two night overnight stays typically are limited to two to three times per
year). 20. - Stay current on high school requirements/ programs and share with students, parents and mentors as needed. 21.
- Provide information and assistance to other staff members in meeting objectives of the TSiC program. 22.
- Collaborate on the advocate mailings, including letters, pictures and biographies with the Program Coordinator and
FUTURES Director. 23. - Work with Technology Services’ student record and report card personnel. 24.
- Maintain program database. 25.
