PRIMARY FUNCTION

This position is responsible for the development, implementation and supervision of the Title I Program in accordance with the federal mandates of the Every Student Success Act (ESSA), and the district’s school development initiatives.

REQUIREMENTS:

1.

Education Level:

Master’s degree in education from an accredited college or university

Preferred:

Education Specialist degree from an accredited college or university
2.

Experience, Skill, and Certification:

Valid certification in educational leadership
Three or more years of classroom teaching experience
Prior experience in management and administration

Preferred:

Valid certification in educational content area

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Coordinates program and fiscal aspects of Title I, Title IV, McKinney Vento, and Neglected & Delinquent to meet the requirements of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA).
Works with the leaders of The Office of Instructional Excellence in developing and implementing the federal and state Compensatory Programs and the district’s School and Academic Improvement initiatives. Monitors and tracks expenditures of state and federal grants for accuracy and compliance.
Develop and monitor procedures for the purpose of complying with District, State, and Federal regulations and guidelines.
Oversees federal programs in the Consolidated Application, by administering, coordinating, and monitoring the development of fiscal and program documents for Consolidated Application Programs.
Completes and submits the annual Title I Comparability Report for the school district. Coordinates the completion of the Comprehensive LEA Improvement Plan (CLIP).
Organizes, coordinates, and monitors efforts for compliance in the following programs: Family Engagement, Homeless programs, Neglected & Delinquent, and School Improvement.
Provides technical assistance to schools identified for school improvement in the development of their Comprehensive Needs Assessment, School Improvement Plans, and budgets. Consults with charter and private school officials annually to disseminate information about the federal educational programs available in the district and how charter and private schools qualify to participate in them. Develop plans for providing tutors and educational materials to participating private schools, institutions and homeless shelters to ensure that at-risk children receive equitable services. Serves as district administrative contact for the Consolidated Application and collaborates with appropriate personnel to oversee the federal programs it funds. Maintains accurate and appropriate documentation necessary for federal and state compliance.
Compiles schedules, reports, budgets and forms relative to federal and state regulations.
Participates in district meetings and workshops for the purpose of identifying issues, developing recommendations, providing training, or gathering information required to perform functions.
Prepares and delivers oral and written reports, recommendations, and presentations to the Board, committees, parents, and others regarding federal programs.
Performs other federally approved duties as necessary for the effectiveness of the organization. Non-Essential Responsibilities

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT

Incumbents will receive an annual contract. The work calendar will be 250 days. Salary will be determined based on level of certification and allowable experience. Physical and Sensory Demands
