Position Summary The Program Manager plays a key role within the Reinsurance and Specialty Business team facilitating the placement of reinsurance treaties and cultivating business development opportunities. Responsibilities Primarily focus on new business development for P&C program opportunities Coordinate and maintain the Specialty program pipeline to ensure timeliness and accuracy of information. Conduct due diligence responsibilities on all prospective program opportunities to ensure they align with the Company’s underwriting and claims philosophy, profitability goals, and overall strategic fit. Participate in the negotiation of program terms by preparing contracts that consider financial conditions, resources, and contractual requirements. Monitor ongoing program performance, report on program status, schedule program meetings and develop solutions to program challenges. Prepare proposals for new programs for review and coordinate the internal approval process. Manage the onboarding and performance of Specialty programs. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure program compliance, robust reporting, and optimal program performance. Act as a primary contact between the Company and program stakeholders. Conduct responsibilities associated with due diligence for potential merger and acquisition opportunities. Support leadership in the development, delivery and management of corporate and specialty insurance reinsurance coverages. Support marketing efforts, conferences, and the achievement of objectives related to external stakeholders. Participate in departmental training and engage in ongoing professional development initiatives. Perform other duties as assigned. treaties and cultivating business development opportunities. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management or a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and/or experience Three or more years of insurance related experience Capacity to uphold ethical and professional standards, ensuring confidentiality as required Knowledge of basic accounting, law, insurance, business and corporate process Skill in interpersonal interactions, capable of effective collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders; skill in customer service and problem solving Ability to thrive in a team environment and to uphold ethical standards with a professional demeanor in all work circumstances Skill in completing tasks, working under pressure and complying with tight deadlines Ability to multi-task with keen attention to detail and accuracy Capacity to travel and work autonomously while ensuring transparent communication with internal leadership Proficient in both verbal and written communication Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and function specific software applications Let’s talk benefits!
