Apr 30, 2025 The Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) – Office of Federal Programs is recruiting for 15 Coordinated Support Specialists. Under broad supervision, this position coordinates streamlined service and support initiatives for local education agencies (LEAs) implementing federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) formula grants (Title I, Part A; Title II, Part A; Title III, Part A; Title IV, Part A; Title V, Part B). Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Implement a streamlined service and support model, serving as the LEA’s single point of contact for multiple federal programs, while providing coordinated support that focuses on the continuous improvement process. Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency and alignment across programs in the key components of a structured grant cycle (i.e., plans, budgets, monitoring, and other statutory requirements) for multiple federal programs. Collaborate with colleagues to proactively develop and deliver high-quality training and technical assistance to LEAs. Collaborate with colleagues to design and build resources and guidance documents to support LEAs with federal grant cycle topics and the continuous improvement process. Maintain clear and positive communication between divisions/units at GaDOE and with LEAs. Prepare accurate reports and other documents that communicate clearly and adequately related to the areas of responsibility. Preferences will be given to candidates possessing one or more of the following: Hold Georgia professional educator certification Knowledge of State and Federal guidelines Experience with and knowledge of consolidating federal, state, and local funds Highly effective interpersonal, group, verbal, and written communication skills Experience in data analysis and interpretation using a variety of software solutions Demonstrate success in self-motivation/initiative and leadership and the continuous improvement process Demonstrated success in collaborating with colleagues, school personnel, staff, students, and other support agencies or organizations Ability to manage multiple, overlapping, high-priority tasks in a fast-paced environment Consideration/interviews will begin as soon as a list of applicants is established.
