JOB PURPOSE
Developing, implementing and managing Cancer Support Services (CSS). Ensuring the delivery of innovative and sound psychosocial oncology programs essential for people affected by cancer Serves as a community ambassador for cancer support services. Provides leadership and management for the Loran Smith Cancer Center, Oncology Analytics, Cancer Navigators, LDCT program, and the Mastectomy Boutique.
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED
Bachelors Degree in Business, Healthcare or similar field.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Five (5) years program development, wellness-related experience and familiarity with community resources, programs and support services for Oncology patients or related service area.
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW
None
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Masters Degree or LCSW License preferred. Working knowledge of the health care industry.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supervision of program staff, budgeting, financial accounting and reporting, faculty and staff recruitment, and professional development. 2. Partners with patients to create effective support programs. 3. Collaborates with physicians, other cancer related departments, Piedmont hospitals, students, residents, and organizations within the community to promote CSS. 4. Conducts and monitors Cancer Support Program planning, development and implementation. 5. Directs and manages daily operations of all areas of responsibility. 6. Ambassador for CSS in the community by leading and participating in outreach functions/education. 7. Partners with Foundation and other organizations to raise funds for cancer support programs. 8. Performs miscellaneous functions
