Join our team at Newrest, a global leader in in-flight catering. As a Safety Program Coordinator, you will uphold our commitment to ensuring safe and reliable transportation services. You will be responsible for auditing team members’ performance through multiple programs to ensure safe behaviors and outcomes. This role partners with the Safety & Training team as well as the Transportation team to develop and drive a healthy safety culture, including conducting reports on findings, coaching team members, analyzing trends, and tracking trends on behaviors and processes.

Required Responsibilities Evaluate compliance through programming systems and actively communicate findings with prospective leadership. Proactive intervention with leadership should be exercised anytime an actual or potential risk arises. Conduct system audits to address/correct failures and safety violations observed through focused findings and other unsafe practices. Ensure compliance with all Newrest, airport, civil aviation, security, and local regulatory standards and provide guidance and clarification on these regulations. Work with the leadership team to deliver practical safety briefings and proactive safety communication programs. Coordinate and assist with I Care and cultural programs for safety and transportation teams. Support safety training initiatives. Continuously identify, assess, and reduce/eliminate health and safety risks. Safely operate company vehicles according to all policies, including pre-shift inspections and end-of-shift cleanouts when applicable. Identify areas for improvement and develop action plans to increase performance. Maintain confidentiality as required through Newrest rules and regulations. Practice and promote the four core values: simplicity, humility, efficiency, and responsibility. Always maintain a sense of positivity and professionalism in all communications and execution of duties. Maintain compliance with all Newrest policies, regulations, and rules. Effectively communicate all duties as directed with supervision and management. Other job duties may be assigned based on operational need Education/Experience Requirements High School Diploma required. Previous experience as an auditor preferred. Must possess a valid Driver License Must be able to pass airport security clearance and test. Solid understanding of OSHA laws, especially as it pertains to driving. Knowledge of airport safety regulations preferred. Strong understanding of logistics and fleet procedures Understanding of lean manufacturing principles and operational processes Good knowledge of HACCP & food safety standards Aptitude in showing self-initiative and follow-through.
