DESCRIPTION

The Program Manager will lead and coordinate the manufacturing efforts for a critical component of Military Aircrafts. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful execution of program objectives, including cost, schedule, technical performance, and compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the planning, and delivery of a manufacturing program supporting the aircraft platform. Act as the primary liaison between internal cross-functional teams, external suppliers, and U.S. Air Force stakeholders. Develop and maintain integrated master schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies. Oversee the design, production, and quality assurance processes for assigned aircraft components. Ensure compliance with contractual obligations, regulatory standards, and quality requirements (e.g., AS9100, ITAR, DFARS). Conduct regular program reviews, status updates, and performance metrics reporting. Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, quality, and production teams to resolve technical and logistical challenges. Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on cost reduction, process optimization, and on-time delivery. Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as required to support program success.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred). 7+ years of experience in aerospace/defense program management or manufacturing leadership. Proven track record managing DoD or military aircraft programs, preferably involving structural or mechanical components. Strong understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM), risk management, and production planning. Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
