Job Description

Responsible for supervising Testing Center staff on multiple campuses and coordinating all testing efforts for the College. The Coordinator will serve as the GED Chief Examiner for the College and will be certified to give all tests offered by the WGTC Testing Centers, including but not limited to, the

ACCUPLACER

placement exam, GED and other high school equivalency exams, HESI, program-related testing, SAT, GACE, and other tests used to measure students’ aptitude and/or achievement levels. The incumbent will be required to travel to all WGTC campuses, local Department of Correction institutions, and high schools as needed to administer tests. This is a 40-hour a week position. This position requires testing in correctional facilities.

SUMMARY OF WORKING CONDITIONS
  • Equipment Used:

    Standard office equipment, Regular use of college owned or personal vehicle for performance of duties

  • Working Conditions:

    Category III

  • No foreseen exposure to hazardous chemicals/pathogens.

Probability of working beyond the normal shift, but not frequently. Periodic travel between major Wiregrass campuses and satellite sites.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in a related field

  • and•Two (2) years related work experience.
Note:

Experience may substitute for the degree on a year-for-year basis.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

In addition to meeting all other minimum qualifications, the highly desired candidate will possess one or more of the following: Experience in a testing center environment, experience administering Pearson VUE/GED tests, management experience in a postsecondary institution, and previous experience with billing and invoicing.

SALARY/BENEFITSSalary is $47,000/yr. This position is full-time and includes standard State of GA benefits such as leave accrual, options for health and other supplemental benefits, and retirement. This position may qualify the successful candidate for the Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.

This position is funded in whole or in part by State/Local/Tuition funds.
