HQ AFGSC
staff role, you will focus on developing requirements, providing acquisition support, and overseeing the program management of advanced weapons technologies.
Key responsibilities include:
Collaborating with AFGSC staff and interfacing with ACC, AFLCMC, SAF/AQ, AFNWC, AFRL, and other PEO/SPO/technology offices to support:
Research and development of Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS), acquisition, and requirements documents to innovate advanced technology concepts.
Cradle-to-grave program management activities.
Representation of
AFGSC A5
in High Performance Teams (HPT), Integrated Product Teams (IPT), Threat Working Groups (TWG), and other forums aimed at developing and fielding new technologies.
Serving as a command headquarters level program analyst, leveraging Air Force acquisitions, JCIDS, and weapon systems expertise to develop, plan, and organize essential budgeting, policies, regulations, directives, doctrine, and procedures for the initiation and maintenance of assigned programs. This position involves frequent travel. Ideal candidates will demonstrate high performance, comfort in developing and presenting decision-quality materials to General Officers, and efficiency in multidisciplinary teams consisting of industry, government, and military personnel, including engineers, analysts, scientists, and government SMEs. Qualifications Required Skills Minimum of (8) years of experience
Experience in a similar role at MAJCOM, NAF, or HAF levels.
Previous experience with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) or Special Access Programs (SAP).
Extensive knowledge and experience with USAF weapons and operations.
Strong understanding of national, DoD, and US Air Force statutory and regulatory policies, directives, and procedures related to acquisition, PPBE, and JCIDS activities.
Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently.
Ability to thrive in a high-paced, multitasking environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable briefing General Officers.
Willingness and ability to travel monthly.
Desired Skills Experience as a mission-ready bomber/fighter aviator.
Graduate of the USAF Weapons School.
Experience at
HAF/MAJCOM/NAF
with programs entering the Materiel Solution Analysis (MSA) phase and progressing through the acquisition lifecycle (ICD, AoA, Milestones, PDR, CDR, IOT&E, etc.).
DAU requirements certification and HQ Staff level Requirements Development experience.
Education Requirements A Bachelor’s degree is required.
A Master’s degree is highly desired.
Degrees in technical or engineering fields are strongly preferred.
Travel Requirements Approximate travel will be once per month.
Security Clearance Requirements
Active Top Secret SCI Security Clearance based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI), SSBI Periodic Reinvestigation (SSBI-PR), or a Phased Periodic Reinvestigation, current within the last 5 years.
Previous experience with SCI or Special Access Programs (SAP) is required. Candidates must be subject to polygraph and drug testing upon request as a condition of employment. U.S. Citizenship is required #LI-RR1
