Position Summary The Program Coordinator for the Division of Allied Health Sciences and Nursing is to manage the office and handle duties as prescribed. The individual should be efficient, able to multi-task, while maintaining schedules and providing administrative support. The ideal candidate for this job is resourceful, a good problem solver and organized. Assuring a steady completion of workload in a timely manner is key to success in this position. Primary Responsibilities This position requires the employee to perform a wide range of administrative, office, and divisional support activities to facilitate the efficient operation of the division. May include all of the following, but not limited to: 1. Provide front office administrative support 2. Responds to requests for information; may require interpretation of department rules and regulations 3. Independently composes and types correspondence for signature regarding administrative matters, office policies, or programs 4. Compiles and types special reports by selecting relevant information from a variety of sources such as reports, documents, correspondence, electronic files, etc. 5. Organizes, tracks, and maintains files and reference manuals/materials; ensures confidentiality of information, as necessary (e.g. Allied Health Sciences and Nursing Policy and Procedure Manual, program fliers, faculty employment files, syllabi, turn-ins and associated paperwork, etc.) 6. Tracks and maintains files such as payroll preparation, travel requests/reports, supply and equipment requisitions, etc. 7. Sets up and types a wide variety of correspondence, reports, tables, data base, and records 8. To assist in the admission process for all the associate degree, certificate and technical diploma programs (e.g. maintain current program applications, knowledgeable of admission criteria, etc.) 9. Compile and submit weekly divisional update reports 10. Assist programs with accreditation processes (e.g. hotel room reservations, assist in preparation of self-study, coordinate site visitors’ on-site schedule with university administrative team, etc.) 11. Assist in the completion of Title III and Perkins Quarterly Report 12. Attend Title III and Perkins on campus update meetings 13. Conduct/assist with divisional orientation for new employees 14. REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
1. Minimum of three to five years’ experience in which clerical work was a major duty 2. Associate Degree 3. Proficiency with Microsooft Office (Excel, Power Point, Word) 4. Strong attention to detail is essential 5. Knowledge of operation of standard office equipment 6. Must be proficient with
