We’re looking for a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) with advanced clinical, educational, and leadership experience to serve as a Stroke Program Specialist at WJMC. This role offers the opportunity to lead and shape our interdisciplinary stroke care program, educate staff, and make a meaningful impact on the lives of stroke patients throughout their continuum of care.
What You’ll Do:
Lead stroke activations hospital-wide, including rapid triage and coordination of care. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver high-quality stroke care and meet regulatory standards. Drive performance improvement by analyzing patient data and making recommendations for clinical and operational changes. Educate staff and the community , providing up-to-date training, outreach, and patient education on stroke awareness and prevention. Participate in stroke and critical care committees , sharing data and insights that help shape our stroke program. Support stroke program leadership in optimizing data collection and reporting outcomes.
What We’re Looking For:
You must be a licensed RN to apply. Strong clinical background in stroke, neuroscience, or critical care. Proven experience in staff education, program development, and interdisciplinary collaboration. Commitment to continuous learning, including maintaining or planning to obtain:
BCLS & ACLS
Certification NIH Stroke Scale Certification Completion of TJC-required in-services Ongoing CEUs related to stroke/neuroscience care
