Job Description – Program Coordinator The Program Coordinator plans, implements, and evaluates STEM NOLA’s STEM-based programming for audiences nationwide. Reporting to the Programs Manager or designee of the CEO, the STEM Program Coordinator collaborates with the Programs Team, Education Team, Technology Manager, Operations Team, and general

staff to ensure the successful execution of all STEM programming, including developing and fostering relationships with communities and organizations, managing program logistics and needs, coordinating training to those delivering

content, and may deliver content for
STEM NOLA
programs, trainings, and other special events as needed. The Program Coordinator, in collaboration with the Programs Manager and other members of the Programs Team, assists in staffing personnel responsible for STEM program-related events and tasks.
Primary Functions/Responsibilities:
Program Planning & Execution In collaboration with the Programs Manager and other Leadership members, implements and plans programming all programming formats, including STEM Saturdays, STEM
FEST, STEM
Nights, etc. Coordinates projects at all levels, including client relationship management, collaborating across departments to ensure project flow and reporting on project progress. Serves as lead facilitator of STEM programming assigned to him/her. Develops relationships with community partners, in order to further the programming efforts of

Interaction with Staff Partners with
LEADERSHIP TEAM
members during events to ensure staff and volunteers execute programs successfully. Assist
ADMINISTRATION
in registration and marketing for programs In collaboration with OPERATIONS, ensures equipment and supplies are sourced and delivered to program sites as appropriate to fulfill program needs. Project Management Maintains a highly organized timeline and planning matrix to ensure STEM programming is planned efficiently and to

standards. Ensure successful launch of new partner programs through conducting site walkthroughs, training staff and volunteers, providing execution support, and other activities as needed. A successful
STEM Program Coordinator:
has a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university. Is familiar with community engagement and outreach and understands how to interact with diverse community members to include corporate, education, and local government stakeholders. Is a motivated self-starter with a passion for education in traditional and nontraditional formats, especially STEM, and familiarity with instructing children from a variety of backgrounds and educational levels. Is a natural collaborator and critical thinker, works well with a team, and is able to take a concept from an idea to a finished product. Able to stay on task and on schedule with minimal supervision Models kindness, compassion, and understanding, while valuing equity and access for students of all ability levels. Stays up to date with current trends in STEM education and thinks critically about how to bring cutting edge ideas to the general public. Comfortable working with technology of various formats, G-Suite, Adobe, Zoom, and relevant apps Available to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Event planning experience a plus.
This position is:
Full time, salaried, minimum of 40 hours per week.
