SUMMARY:

The Program Director is responsible clinically, financially and operationally for all activities within this 16-bed adolescent (12-18 years old) residential mental health program. The Program Director ensures that services are delivered in a manner that promotes customer service and excellence in service delivery to the clients, their families, referral sources and others. The Program Director works closely with all members of the team to ensure effective, efficient service delivery and represents the organization in a positive, professional image at all times.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides administrative oversight to Medical Director/Psychiatrist on daily operational needs; provides administrative oversight to the Clinical Director; directly supervises the Behavioral Health Tech Supervisor, Community Outreach Director and other non-clinical personnel Recruits and maintains a competent, diverse workforce that supports Meadow Hill’s mission and vision, with an emphasis on quality of care and customer service. Mentors staff development with the coordination of training, supervision, and other development activities in conjunction with the Clinical Director. Responsible for development/implementation of operational systems and procedures. Oversees ordering and inventory of all supplies, manages/tracks inventories and ensures the program has adequate supplies for continuous program operation in an effective manner. Ensures food service contracts and internal food services provide services to meet all nutritional needs for persons served. In conjunction with the Compliance Consultant, manages compliance-related activities and ensures ongoing compliance to all external requirements and maintaining documentation to demonstrate compliance. Serves as the Grievance Officer to investigate any complaints, grievances, or incidents. In conjunction with the clinical team, routinely speaks with parents and referral sources about concerns, issues or challenges. Ensures that all staff-required training, fire drills, emergency drills and inspections are completed on time and documented appropriately. In conjunction with the Clinical Director, ensures that the clinical services are being delivered according to Meadow Hill’s clinical design and in an effective manner. Provides direction and guidance to Community Outreach staff with the goal of maximizing referrals for services and admissions, while maintaining effective working relationships with community service providers and conducting these activities in an ethical, customer-friendly and effective manner. Responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and control of the budget. In conjunction with ownership, oversees contracts and contracted services (ie: facility, housekeeping, EHR, IT Support, billing, Medical Director/Psychiatrist, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, etc…) and ensures the services are provided according to their contractual agreement and based on program needs. Oversees transportation services including vehicle maintenance, daily vehicle logs, ensuring drivers are appropriate to drive for the company, and vehicles are in good working order at all times. Continually reviews performance and identifies areas for improvement in efficiency, effectiveness, access, satisfaction, and other outcomes. Coordinates the collection of program data and the accurate reporting of this data as needed; submits regular data reports to EEC and other agencies as needed. Ensures the program schedule is followed and with ample opportunity for client recreation and that the client’s educational and vocational needs are met as appropriate for each client. Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS ANDEXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Behavioral Health or other related field required; Master’s degree preferred (significant experience can be substituted for education) Minimum of three (3) years of experience in working in the behavioral health field. Minimum of three (3) years working in facilities that are involved in the direct treatment of adolescents with behavioral health needs. Minimum of one (1) year of supervisory experience and/or experience in a similar management position preferred. Experience working with EEC licensing requirements or other related requirements is highly desirable. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and electronic health records required. Must display the use of appropriate independent judgment to determine appropriate course of action in resolving problems and in emergencies. Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral communication and to communicate effectively in an interdisciplinary, culturally diverse setting with clients, families, staff and regulatory agencies.

$90,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
