Leveraging themodularity of its FORCE™ platform, Dyne is developing targetedtherapeutics that deliver to muscle and the central nervous system(CNS). Dyne has a broad pipeline for neuromuscular diseases,including clinical programs for myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1) andDuchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) and preclinical programs forfacioscapulohumeral muscular dystrophy (FSHD) and Pompe disease.
Role Summary:
The Director, Program Management (PM) is a criticalrole within the cross-functional development team responsible forfacilitating and driving execution across the wide spectrum ofactivities required for successful development of one or moremolecules. The PM partners closely with Program Team Leader (PTL)and functional subject matter experts to ensure that plans are inplace with appropriate detail and risk awareness to assuresuccessful achievement of the goals of the development team. The PMensures integration of these detailed functional plans into aholistic, cohesive and comprehensive program plan that achieves thestrategic goals of the development program. Given the inherentuncertainty associated with drug development in rare disorders, thePM maintains an agile mindset in order to effectively incorporateand react to emerging data and course-correct as conditionsdictate. Working in close partnership with PTL, the PM effectivelyframes and facilitates discussions with team members and externalexperts to elicit clear recommendations and decisions by fullyengaging with team members to consider multiple options with afocus on impact on quality, time and cost. Their influencing andengagement skills allow them to work with a highly motivated teamand manage stakeholders at all levels of the company. Thisindividual is passionate about developing and commercializinglife-transforming therapies for patients with severe andlife-threatening diseases and will develop strong knowledge of theDyne programs (scientific and clinical data, patient population,market environment, etc.). The Program Manager is adept atoperating in cross-functional matrix teams, developing effectiverelationships based on mutual trust and effective communication andthrives in a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. This role isbased in Waltham, MA without the possibility of being fully remote.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
Lead the operations of one ormore high performing cross-functional team, with focus on both the”what”, such as priorities, goal achievement, and resources, andthe “how” of maintaining a challenging, collaborative, andsustainable team environment Partner with the PTL to identifyshort, medium, and long-term team priorities and propose path toaddress Drive execution of the established and aligned Programvision and strategy for bringing a life-changing medicine topatients in need Facilitate creation & maintenance of core programstrategy documents including Target Product Profile (TPP), ClinicalDevelopment Plan, Regulatory Strategy, and Supply Strategy incollaboration with cross-functional representatives Ensure thatnon-clinical, clinical, regulatory, and commercial strategies andplans are aligned with the TPP and the overall Program StrategyInspire development of an efficient plan to achieve developmentstrategy, optimizing for quality, speed and cost Accountable forcreation and maintenance of detailed cross-functional plans andeffective visual summaries thereof to instill awareness,accountability and achievement Maintain clear and opencommunication with Program Team, Dyne Senior Leadership, and otherstakeholders regarding program status, priorities, risks and needs,and facilitate appropriate strategic decision-making Keep abreastof emerging developments regarding research and development in thefields of muscle diseases and oligonucleotide drug discovery anddevelopment Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation,discovery, and cutting-edge research culture focused on scientificexcellence, open communication, and continual improvement
Educationand Skills Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in science or relatedfield; Advanced degree in a scientific discipline or MBA preferred10 years of relevant experience in biotech/pharmaceutical industryin positions of increasing responsibility in drug developmentExceptional communication skills (verbal, written, presentation)and ability to communicate with across a broad group ofstakeholders and teams Proficient with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams,Smartsheet and other PM management workspace collaboration tools.
