TEC Connections Academy Commonwealth Virtual School (TECCA) is a tuition-free virtual public school district that employs over 200 faculty and staff and serves a diverse population of approximately 3,000 students in grades K12 across Massachusetts.
Position Summary:
TECCA is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven individual to serve as the Coordinator of Innovative Pathways Development, responsible for researching, designing, and launching a state-approved Innovation Pathways Program aligned with DESE guidance. This role will support the development of TECCAs Innovation Pathways application for Fall 2026 implementation, working cross-functionally to align academic, career-technical, and work-based learning experiences for students.
As this is a new and evolving position, the role requires flexibility, initiative, and the ability to build systems and partnerships from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Research & DesignConduct comprehensive research on DESE Innovation Pathways criteria and best practices.
Assess current TECCA programs and assets to inform pathway development.
Engage with students, families, staff, and community partners to inform design.
Application & Launch PreparationSupport the development and submission of TECCAs Innovation Pathways application to DESE, ensuring all required components (course maps, workforce partnerships, labor market alignment, etc.) are included.
Create an implementation plan and timeline for launch by Fall 2026.Partnership DevelopmentIdentify and establish partnerships with employers, higher education institutions, and workforce development boards.
Collaborate with stakeholders to secure opportunities for internships, dual enrollment, and credentialing.
Collaborate and support TECCA teams (middle/high school and school counseling services to ensure all layers of the district are ready to implement for the fall of 2026)Program Coordination & OversightCoordinate program logistics, course alignment, and student recruitment in collaboration with other TECCA departments.
Supervise designated support staff or others assisting with program development and implementation.
Monitor compliance with DESE Innovation Pathways standards and reporting requirements.
Collect and analyze program data to guide continuous improvement and prepare for future evaluation.
Communication & EngagementServe as the internal and external point of contact for Innovation Pathways.
Prepare updates and presentations for school leadership, DESE, and the Board as needed.
Other Duties as Assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Teaching & Learning
