Portland, Maine, United States Job Description Description Summary:

The Workplace Violence Prevention Program (WVP-P) manager will support the mission of the program by collaborating with multiple functional areas and system-wide key stakeholders to support the development and delivery of a comprehensive, coherent, effective, resilient, full-spectrum, sustainable WVP-P. The focal point of this role is to contribute to a program in which high-quality healthcare is delivered by team members who gain a deep sense of physical and psychological safety from the effectiveness of MaineHealth’s Workplace Violence Prevention Program. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field required.

License/Certifications:

Certified Threat Manager (CTM) preferred.

Clinical licensure by the Maine State Board of Nursing or Social work preferred.

Valid drivers license required.

Experience:

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in violence prevention related work. Minimum of 3 years’ program development and management level experience. Experience in healthcare with knowledge of existing and emerging risk/threat factors, mitigating strategies, and principles of trauma-informed care.

Additional Skills/Requirements Required:

Ability to develop and deliver educational content to care team members to support site-level violence prevention programming.

Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred:

Comfort and competency developing and presenting information to various audiences.
