Supervisor – Program Services at MaineHealth in Portland, Maine, United States Job Description Description
Summary:
Supervises staff and coordinates daily operations in assigned program areas to facilitate the program’s mission, maximize outreach, and ensure smooth workflows, optimal productivity, as well as high quality and customer service. Acts as the liaison with all levels of staff across the organization, and may also serve as a liaison to external program stakeholders and to the greater community.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in health care related field preferred. Relevant experience in related field will be considered in lieu of a degree.
License/Certifications:
N/A
Experience:
See “Education.” A minimum of 3 years progressively responsible work experience preferably in a field relevant to the identified program is required. Supervisory experience strongly preferred. Basic knowledge of healthcare and social service systems, with previous experience in healthcare and/or social service field. Customer service skills and experience preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills required to interact effectively with all team members, clients from diverse backgrounds, and stakeholders. Communication includes written materials and correspondence.
Judgement and ability to resolve problems in an accurate and timely manner.
Knowledge of project management, and educational practices.
Strong software and computer skills, including Microsoft Office (including Power Point, Access, and Excel), database and website utilization and/or development.
Ability to work both independently and to collaborate with teams of individuals in diverse settings.
Analytical ability to gather and interpret data in situation where the problems are moderately complex.
Ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail.
