Program Director 3.4 3.4 out of 5 stars 113 Eastland Drive, Jefferson City, MO 65101 Day Solutions, Inc. is seeking a high-energy, caring, self-motivated leader with supervisory experience to plan and coordinate the program at our Eastland Drive location. Our unique day habilitation program provides a structured environment designed to maximize our clients’ cognitive, social, and independence skills for improved quality of life. The applicant must possess the ability to work with people of many backgrounds and ability levels in a fast-paced environment. Strong leadership, organization, creativity, and problem-solving skills are a must. Duties include supervising a staff of seven Direct Support Professionals, attending client Individual Service Plan (ISP) meetings, writing client monthly reports, and coordinating care with other professionals and agencies. Must be 25 or older, have the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing, be comfortable with computers and technology, pass a criminal background check, and have an acceptable driving record. All applicants must possess a Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5 years of administrative experience. Candidates with a degree in education, social work, nursing, or a related field are encouraged to apply. Experience working in a facility credentialed by the Department of Mental Health is highly preferred. Salary is commensurate with experience. Duties include, but are not limited to: Maintain up-to-date knowledge on each client to ensure their care needs are met. Coordinate community integration activities, therapies, work tasks, and general programming in such a manner to facilitate client growth and individual choice, while maintaining required staff/client ratios. •Participate in team meetings and staffings, providing input and suggestions on client goals and activities, as well as sharing ideas to help problem-solve targeted issues. Be responsible for overseeing goals, monthly reports, Service Monitoring meetings, ISP team meetings, and Day Solutions staff trainings for a select group of Day Solutions clients. Train staff on the implementation of client treatment plans. Address client behavioral issues and model positive behavior supports and client-specific behavior plans for staff. Works directly with clients as needed and to provide a model for staff •Provide direct supervision and leadership to program support staff, DSPs, and other designated staff, ensuring compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulations, while maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served. Exercise independent judgment in hiring, training, assigning, directing, and evaluating the performance of staff to ensure the effective delivery of services to our clients. Establish and enforce performance standards, providing regular feedback, conducting performance appraisals, and implementing corrective action when necessary. Participate in hiring, promotions, demotions, transfers, and terminations, with authority to carry out these decisions in accordance with applicable laws and organizational policies. Implement staff training programs to promote professional growth, enhance competencies, and ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational goals. Actively train new staff, assisting them with the familiarization of agency philosophy, policies and procedures, as well as the routines of the individuals served. Provide leadership in conflict resolution, employee relations, and disciplinary actions, applying fair and consistent practices in accordance with established policies. Collaborate with the Corporate Administrative Director and the Executive Director in interpreting and applying organizational policies and procedures. Ensure appropriate staffing levels by managing recruitment efforts, approving time-off requests, and adjusting schedules as necessary to meet program needs. Foster a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive work environment, promoting staff engagement and professional development.
