Are you passionate about education, conservation, and leadership? The Johnny Morris Foundation is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Guest Engagement Coordinator to join our team. In this vital role, you will empower staff and volunteers, create inspiring guest engagement programs, and lead impactful training experiences. By fostering a collaborative and inclusive environment, you’ll help us fulfill our mission to educate and inspire a deeper connection to the natural world. You’ll oversee the training, support, and evaluation of guest engagement staff and volunteers, ensuring excellence in program delivery and engagement initiatives. This position also involves developing innovative conservation events and overseeing the Docent volunteer program, from recruitment and onboarding to training and ongoing support. Your leadership will have a direct impact on our ability to connect guests with meaningful experiences that promote conservation and stewardship. Day in the Life Your day as the Lead Educator will be filled with variety and energy. Imagine kicking things off by training staff to better engage with guests, giving them the tools to deliver memorable educational moments. Later, you might dive into a review of a new program, checking how it’s going and offering tips to make it even better. At some point, you could find yourself at the center of a conservation event, sharing ideas and connecting with the community to drive local environmental projects forward. Then, it’s over to the Docent volunteer program-welcoming new volunteers, guiding them on their journey, and answering any questions they have. All the while, you’ll be bouncing ideas around with your team, finding fresh ways to keep conservation education exciting and impactful.
