The Bioethics Program Coordinator will provide administrative, curricular and organizational support to the College of Osteopathic Medicine’s Master of Bioethics Program.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Coordinate MA Bioethics course activities through tracking of deadlines, scheduling of rooms, assignment of students, and faculty support Support Bioethics faculty with calendar management, arranging travel, purchasing/expense reports, liaison for internal and external parties, technical assistance and event planning Assist Bioethics faculty with preparation and posting of course materials Coordinate pre/post course and department/program/committee meetings as assigned to include agenda preparation and ensuring action items are met Coordinate department specific programs to include serving as primary contact, maintenance of databases and records, creation of tracking mechanisms, and reporting of data/outcomes as requested Document programmatic evaluation data for accreditation purposes Assist in the planning and execution of special events for the College of Osteopathic Medicine, including but not limited to: student and faculty recruitment and commencement activities Manage and advise students on academic degree planning and program progress Assists cost center managers with tracking of department’s operating budget to support course activities and supplies Evaluate processes for areas of improvement continually and make recommendations to supervisor Assists with project development and planning to ensure more efficient service and organization of the office Work under limited supervision and within established department guidelines and procedures Participate in University service activities including but not limited to staff senate, admissions interviews and Town Halls Represent department and the University favorably and in accordance with established Core Values and expectations Provide onboarding training on the use of virtual platforms to all full time and adjunct faculty Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Director within the College of Osteopathic Medicine to meet the goals and objectives of all the programs in the

College of Osteopathic Medicine Supportive Functions:

Participate in developing program goals, tactics, and objectives Participate in innovating and maintaining organizational systems Actively participate in College of Osteopathic Medicine and University meetings and events, which includes but is not limited to participating in admission interviews, assisting administratively in labs, etc.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field 2-3 years of clerical, secretarial, or office experience Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems Strong verbal and written communication skills Comfortable with routinely shifting demands High degree of attention to detail Working knowledge of general office equipment Ability to employ critical thinking and analysis to solve complex problems Ability to interact successfully with academic, clinical, business, and regulatory personnel Ability to successfully work within and support a diverse environment of students and colleagues Experience in higher education preferred

Physical Requirements:
