QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree required Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant professional experience in nonprofit program management, project management, stakeholder communications, or related fields. Demonstrated proficiency with digital platforms (e.g., AwardSpring or similar systems), data analytics tools, and social media content creation. Strong experience in coordination and communications with a variety of audiences Excellent writing, speaking and interpersonal skills Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with program or project management, donor stewardship, and strategic relationship building. Familiarity with school district foundations, public education, or nonprofit best Previous experience in facilitating and leading stakeholder committees.

JOB GOAL

To advance the mission of the North Kansas City Schools Education Foundation by managing signature programs and initiatives, enhancing stakeholder engagement, supporting strategic communications, and collaborating with staff and community partners to maximize impact for students and educators.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Administer and coordinate the full lifecycle of scholarship processes, including applications, committee reviews, and awards, utilizing the AwardSpring platform. Serve as a key liaison and provide clear communication with scholarship funders, district counselors, students, families, and scholarship committees. Develop and manage impactful content for strategic communications, including data-driven reports, analytics, and compelling storytelling for social media and community outreach. Coordinate program operations for the Normandy Academy, including student engagement and school collaboration, ensuring effective communication and support. Oversee and manage Student Success Fund and Impact Grant applications, awards, and follow-up, partnering closely with school administrators and community resource specialists. Administer and streamline processes for the Kahler Innovation Grants, serving as the primary point of contact for internal staff. Support the Director in fundraising efforts, including identifying and cultivating strategic donor relationships, writing grants, and conducting stewardship activities. Act as primary staff liaison to program committee(s) of the Advisory Board, assisting in strategic planning, meeting preparation, and goal-setting activities. Participate in event execution, recognizing that occasional evening and non-standard working hours may be required during peak event periods such as special events and homecoming season. Other duties as assigned Other duties/responsibilities deemed necessary may be assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The individual who holds this position is regularly required to walk, hear and speak and must have close moderate and distance vision ability. This individual must be able to travel between district facilities. The position requires a moderate amount of travel and physical activity.
