Byram, MS Job Summary Be Part of Something New! The YMCA is launching a new satellite facility in Byram, MS, and we’re looking for a friendly, organized, and proactive Program Coordinator to help us make it a success. This part-time position will serve as a key point of contact for members, families, and community partners and helping build a strong, welcoming YMCA presence from the ground up. This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys working with people, and is excited to grow alongside a new branch. Key Responsibilities Serve as a consistent, approachable on-site presence for members and families Coordinate front-desk and membership operations, including check-ins, registrations, and basic account support Assist with the setup and delivery of youth sports and recreation programs Support daily facility operations, including opening/closing procedures, cleaning checks, and safety protocols Collaborate with off-site supervisors and team members to ensure programs run smoothly and reflect YMCA values Troubleshoot minor issues and escalate concerns appropriately Contribute to a positive, inclusive environment rooted in the YMCA’s mission

Skills and Qualifications Required:

Strong communication and customer service skills Friendly, professional demeanor with a community-first mindset Basic proficiency with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Calendar) and ability to learn YMCA-specific systems (e.g., Daxko, GroupExPro) Able to work independently, manage time well, and adapt to evolving site needs Must be at least 18 years old Ability to stand, walk, and perform light physical activity throughout shift

Preferred:
