Job Description

Fatherhood Agent/Program Specialists (Contract Worker) 3.5 3.5 out of 5 stars 200 South Lamar Street, Jackson, MS 39201 The Mississippi Department of Human Services (MDHS)/Division of Child Support Enforcement (CSE) is seeking two (2) contract workers to serve as fulltime time-limited Fatherhood Agent/Program Specialists for the agency. The term of the contract shall be one (1) year (May 15, 2025, or after both parties have signed, whichever is later, through May 14, 2026). The salary range for this position is $28,542.30 to $48,700.31 annually. The applicant chosen for this position will report to the Director of Fatherhood Program and/or the Director of Grants, Initiatives, and Special Projects.

Scope of Services:
  • Assist supervisor/manager or higher-level professional in planning and implementing the MDHS Fatherhood Program, within the Child Support Enforcement Division.
  • Assist in organizing work processes to ensure the delivery of program services to non-custodial parent program participants.
  • Will communicate with Fatherhood program participants regarding program participation, requirements, referral to employment and job skill services, and other tasks as required.
  • Will be responsible for data collection and data entry regarding program participation and working with participants to meet their program requirements and deadlines.
  • Serve as a liaison between agency divisions, outside organizations, and the general public.
  • Assist Director with other duties and responsibilities which require the expertise of the Contractor as agreed upon by Contractor and Director.
Education Requirement:
  • Bachelor’s degree with 0-2 years of above experience
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of computer database skills including Smartsheet and Excel
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to work well with a team
  • Customer Services and Case Management skill preferred
Other:

MDHS will provide the contractors space at the MDHS State Office as deemed necessary.
