Medicaid provides health coverage for eligible, low income populations in Mississippi. These populations include children, low-income families, pregnant women, the aged and disabled.
About the Position
The duties of this Program Specialist II include essential job tasks and duties for the day-to-day operations of the Office of Healthcare Pricing Services and Supports (HPSS). This staff member is responsible for work involving preparation of approximately thirty-one (31) website fee schedules, claims resolution, NCCI policies, etc. This individual must have (1) trong analytical skills and attention to detail, (2) excellent oral and written communication skills, and (3) intermediate level proficiency with MS Office, Outlook, and Internet. The individual will serve as the subject matter expert for all questions or issues related to:
- Comprehensive Fee Schedules (CFS) provided to the CCOs,
- National Correct Coding Initiative (NCCI) Edits, and
- Provider Website Fee Schedules.
- This is a non state service, time-limited position with The Mississippi Division of Medicaid.
- What you’ll need to be Successful
This position requires some knowledge of the Division of Medicaid services, policies and procedures to include State Plan and Administrative Code.
