The Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services (MDCPS) is committed to protecting and nurturing Mississippi’s at-risk children and families. MDCPS offers a variety of positions statewide, including social work positions providing case management services and working with potential foster families, supervisor positions providing clinical and administrative support, and agency support positions such as policy development, human resources, information technology, program management, training, and budgeting/finance. Receive and Review Requests:
Accurately receive and review system access requests submitted by employees, contractors, and third parties through the Footprints tracking system request platform.
Verify Authorization:
Ensure that all access requests are authorized by the appropriate managers or supervisors and comply with company policies and security protocols.
Validate User Information:
Confirm the accuracy and completeness of user information provided in the access requests, including user identity, role, and department.
Assign Access Levels:
Determine and assign the appropriate access levels based on the user’s role and the principle of least privilege, ensuring they receive only the necessary permissions required to perform their duties.
System Configuration:
Configure and update system settings to grant or revoke access in a timely manner.
Maintain Documentation:
Keep detailed records of all access requests, approvals, and changes made, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible for audits and reviews.
Compliance and Security:
Adhere to agency policies, and best practices for information security and data protection, ensuring all access changes are compliant with relevant standards..
Periodic Reviews:
Participate in periodic access reviews and audits to ensure ongoing compliance and to identify any discrepancies or unauthorized access.
