About the Agency
This opportunity is a Program Specialist III position within MS Department of Child Protection Services. The Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services (MDCPS) is committed to protecting and nurturing Mississippi’s at-risk children and families. MDCPS offers a variety of positions statewide, including social work positions providing case management services and working with potential foster families, supervisor positions providing clinical and administrative support, and agency support positions such as policy development, human resources, information technology, program management, training, and budgeting/finance. About the Position

Receive and Review Requests:

Accurately receive and review system access requests submitted by employees, contractors, and third parties through the designated request DocuSign platform. •

Verify Authorization:

Ensure that all access requests are authorized by the appropriate managers or supervisors and comply with company policies and security protocols. •

Validate User Information:

Confirm the accuracy and completeness of user information provided in the access requests, including user identity, role, and department. •

Assign Access Levels:

Determine and assign the appropriate access levels based on the user’s role and the principle of least privilege, ensuring they receive only the necessary permissions required to perform their duties. •

System Configuration:

Configure and update system settings to grant or revoke access in a timely manner, using the company’s access management tools and software. •

Maintain Documentation:

Keep detailed records of all access requests, approvals, and changes made, ensuring documentation is up-to-date and easily accessible for audits and reviews. •

Communication:

Communicate with requestors, managers, and IT staff to clarify requests, provide status updates, and resolve any issues related to access provisioning. •

Compliance and Security:

Adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and best practices for information security and data protection, ensuring all access changes are compliant with relevant standards. •

Troubleshoot Issues:

Identify and troubleshoot any issues related to system access, working with IT support and system administrators to resolve problems efficiently. •

Continuous Improvement:

Suggest and implement improvements to the access request process to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and security. This is a Non-State, TIME-LIMITED (14) position.
What you’ll need to be Successful
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software, demonstrate integrity, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to adapt quickly, courteous, ability to maintain confidentiality. Efficient organizational and time management skills.
