The Mississippi Department of Education (MDE) is seeking a Program Specialist Supervisor for the Office of Grants Management who will be responsible for oversight of the State Educational Agencies (SEA) and Local Educational Agencies (LEA) budgets for Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA) Grants Division. As Program Specialist Supervisor, the successful candidate will provide leadership in the areas of continuous improvement for schools served by the Office of Grants Management. The individual will be responsible for supervising, evaluating, and coordinating the efforts to support the office goals and MDE requirements. This position will require travel. - Strong multitasking abilities with demonstrated experience in completing tasks to standard and on time.
- Strong command and proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and mobile applications. Preferred Qualifications Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of experience and 2-4 years of supervisory experience.

Agency Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large scale federal and state grant budget management.
- Experience with state and federal procurement policies and procedures.
- Experience with grant reconciliations.
- Experience and knowledge of the Uniformed Administrative Requirements.
- Experience and knowledge of MAGIC system.
- Experience in providing professional development to LEA leadership in the areas of: (1) allowable usage of federal funds, (2) preparing and implementing schoolwide budgets, and (3) other federal fiscal requirements.
- Experience leading others in a collaborative process.
- Experience in school finance is a plus.
