The Mississippi Department of Child Protection Services (MDCPS) is committed to protecting and nurturing Mississippi’s at-risk children and families. MDCPS offers a variety of positions statewide, including social work positions providing case management services and working with potential foster families, supervisor positions providing clinical and administrative support, and agency support positions such as policy development, human resources, information technology, program management, training, and budgeting/finance. - Prepares CBCAP grant application and program annual report.
- Assist with the development of short and long-term goals of the CBCAP program.
- Attends CBCAP Grantee Meeting annually.
- Attends
CBCAP TA
sessions.
- Monitoring and Evaluation of subgrantee’s.
- Collaboration with community agencies and other stakeholders.
- Completes special projects and/or newly assigned duties.
- Attend public awareness events, trainings, and conferences.
- Ensures consistent, timely and accurate information to local communities as they implement federal and state regulations.
- Assist in the general administration and supervision of federal and state funding compliance.
- Other duties as assigned in the Prevention Unit. What you’ll need to be Successful
- Ability to develop and implement new principles and policies.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and agency rules and regulations related to grant management is preferred.
- Ability to maintain effective communication.
Preferred Qualifications Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree and 0-2 years of experience.
Agency preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Sociology, Public Policy, or related field.
- Six (6) years of work experience in community-based assistance, business administration, public administration, social work, or related field.
Good Customer Service and communication skills. Must have intermediate computer skills and the ability to prioritize and provide timely services to individuals being served.
