Thoracic Early Cancer Detection and Outreach Program Manager 3.2 3.2 out of 5 stars 969 Lakeland Drive, Jackson, MS 39216 The Thoracic Early Cancer Detection and Outreach Program Manager is pivotal in advancing the thoracic oncology detection program by providing strategic and operational coordination. This role serves as a vital link between the hospital and surrounding communities, championing cancer prevention and screening initiatives. The program manager is responsible for building strategic partnerships, implementing effective community engagement strategies, and expanding the reach of the cancer detection program. This position also oversees a robust calendar of outreach events to ensure impactful cancer awareness and screening efforts. Thoracic Cancer Screening Program Management Oversees the thoracic lung cancer screening program, including maintaining reports, addressing operational challenges, and executing program strategies. Collaborates with internal leaders to boost cancer screening rates among existing patients. Partners with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize early detection workflows and coordinate care for newly diagnosed patients. Coordinates with clinicians and providers to ensure seamless care delivery for patients with cancer diagnoses. Provides follow-up support to patients, including referrals and ongoing assistance as needed. Manages patient management software to maintain efficient and effective operations, Cancer Outreach and Public Relations Builds and sustains strategic relationships to enhance community engagement. Develops and nurtures positive community ties, representing the organization professionally while conducting targeted outreach to improve access to care for underserved populations, with a focus on cancer screening and prevention. Serves as an advocate and connector between the cancer program, community organizations, and the populations it serves. Organizational Duties Handles project management, event coordination, and administrative responsibilities to strengthen community engagement and foster partnerships aligned with organizational objectives. Tracks data and prepares reports for leadership and cancer screening events. Cultivates relationships with community organizations, schools, and other stakeholders, supporting activities that advance the organization’s mission. May include recruiting and preparing team members for community event participation. Collaboration Participates in coalitions to identify and promote collaborative opportunities. Experience:
Three (3) years of Progressive professional experience as a Registered Nurse with a focus on oncology related initiatives and/or program management
