About the Position
This position is with the MS Child Protection Service Criminal Background Unit. The Fingerprinting Specialist is required to fingerprint all resource homes, relative resource homes, adoptive, contacted providers in the county assigned. The duties include Scheduling applicants upon request for fingerprinting, Requesting Local, State, and Federal background checks, and Child abuse central registries check. Manage the fingerprinting process but not limited to Travel to conduct fingerprinting, Utilizing Smartsheet as a documenting tool, Schedule appointments, Type and composing correspondence to the individuals being served, Collect and compile data for the monthly report. This position also includes maintenance of Confidential information, tracking of fingerprinting equipment, assisting both Licensure and Human Resource staff with an interpretation of the fingerprinting policy and procedures, and any other duties assigned.
