Job Description
Military Transition Manager 3.8 3.8 out of 5 stars Fort Bragg, NC 28310 Mayvin is currently seeking experienced applicants for a Transition Coordinator to support the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) at Ft. Bragg, NC. This role requires a deep understanding of the challenges and unique needs of service members, DA Civilians, and their family members assigned to the Command. The Transition Coordinator serves as the Command’s principal advisor and works closely with clients (one to two years before transition) through at least 60 days after transition date. Must have a Top Secret clearance Must be a U.S.
Citizen Key Responsibilities:
Transition Planning:
Collaborate with clients preparing to exit the Command to assess their career goals, skills, and transition needs
Resource Coordination:
Connect transitioning clients with relevant support agencies, both within the military and in the civilian sector
Employment Assistance:
Assist clients in their job search efforts, including identifying potential employers and industries that match their skills and interests
Education and Training:
Advise on educational opportunities, including college programs, vocational training, internships, and certification options
Support Coordination:
Advise service members on
VA BDD, SBP
counseling, TRICARE, life insurance options, MGIB & Post 9/11 GI Bill and maintain communication via community platform
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records and provide support to the
USSOCOM Personnel Section Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalence of 15 years in USSOCOM 10 or more years in USSOCOM including experience within the last two years at Ft. Bragg Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of veterans’ benefits, resources, and support programs Strong organizational and planning abilities Demonstrated understanding of many SOF and non-
SOF Transition Assistance Programs Desired Qualifications:
Strong familiarity with DOD Instruction 1332.25, Transition Assistance Program (TAP) for Military Personnel Understanding of the unique details of transitioning service members from each component of USSOCOM Knowledge of USSOCOM Directive 10-12, Organization and Functions, U.S. Special Operations Command Preservation of the Force and Family (POTFF) Proficient in
