PROGRAM DIRECTOR

He/she will coach adults with developmental disabilities in independent living skills. The Director will maintain leases, update regulations and coordinate services with collaborative partners. He/she will maintain residential plans and monitor plans for each client within the program. The Director will ensure that the residential program is in compliance for internal audits including but not limited auditing by MCO’s, DDSN, and other entities as required. He/She will provide assistance to residence for HUD re-certifications and complete all necessary program eligibility requirements. Program Director will provide support to other areas relating to community resources.
Addendum:
Program Director for Building Independence and Green Level will be in a dual setting. Program Director will be required to work at both sites weekly and provide 24/7 on-call crisis .
Essential Functions:
1. Coach adults at both sites in the development of independent living skills including but not limited to leisure, time and money management, good health, safety, and social skills development. 2. Assist adults in maintaining schedule for monthly inspection requirements. 3. Assist with organizing group social activities, monthly resident meetings, data collection and reporting. 4. Complete weekly general contact notes on each resident. 5. Schedule emergency and preventative maintenance repairs. 6. Maintain monthly event calendar and on call calendar. 7. Ensure a safe living environment that is comfortable, productive and stimulating. 8. Advocate for residents and support coverage as required. 9. Represent Lutheran Services Carolinas in the community, including families, guardians, churches, support groups and other professionals. 10. Facilitate stakeholder meetings and communicate with providers and guardians. 11. Facilitate lease and housing paperwork as required to ensure continued housing eligibility. 12. Occasional assistance with cleaning and shopping may be required. 13. Other duties and special projects, as requested.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Program Manager, Lead TBI Direct Care Worker, RCII, Direct Care Worker, HCI, RCI (supervisory roles are dependent on the residential program).
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services or similar field of study
Experience:
at least 2 years experience working with population served.
Specific skills/abilities:
Must have strong computer skills (Microsoft office). Must possess strong written and verbal communication skills. Organizational skills are required. Must be available to work evenings as required. Ideal candidate will have an excellent work ethic, be flexible, able to multi-task and problem solve. Specialized knowledge, licenses, etc: Must be QP credentialed. Community resources and services to population in Durham, Orange, Wake and surrounding counties as well as state resources. Must have Valid Driver’s license.
