The Staff Program Manager will providesenior-level program management expertise within GRAIL’s GlobalDevelopment and Operations (GDO) Program Management team. This roleis responsible for leading complex, cross-functional programs thatspan Development (Assay Development, Automation, and Systems &Platform Development), working in close collaboration withResearch, Quality, Regulatory, Compliance, Software, and Operationsfunctions. This position plays a critical role in enabling seamlesshandoffs and transitions from Research to Development andDevelopment to Operations for both New Product Development (NPD)and Continuous Improvement and Expansion initiatives. The idealcandidate will demonstrate strategic leadership, operationalexcellence, and technical acumen to drive high-impact outcomesacross the full development portfolio. This is a hybrid role inMenlo Park, CA with 3 days in office. We will also considercandidates in Durham NC. Responsibilities Lead the planning,execution, and governance of large-scale programs with moderate tohigh complexity and strategic importance. Partner withcross-functional teams to ensure integrated program plans arealigned with corporate objectives and product lifecycle goals.
Monitor and control project scope, timelines, risks, andinterdependencies to ensure successful delivery of key milestonesand deliverables. Facilitate communication and alignment acrossDevelopment, Research, and Operations to optimize cross-functionalcollaboration and decision-making. Apply expert-level knowledge ofproject management principles, design controls, and regulatoryframeworks to ensure compliant execution of product developmentactivities. Act as a GDO Program Management subject matter expert(SME) by contributing to best practices, process improvements, andtool development within the organization. Oversee and manageprogram-level schedules, budgets, resource plans, and performancemetrics. Prepare and deliver program updates, risk assessments, andmitigation plans to stakeholders and executive leadership. Supportcross-functional investigations and process improvements aimed atenhancing operational readiness and execution quality. Collaboratewith quality and regulatory partners to ensure alignment withinternal standards and external regulatory expectations. Contributeto long-range strategic planning for the Development portfolio,including budgeting and capacity forecasting. PreferredQualifications Bachelor’s degree in a scientific, engineering, ortechnical discipline and 8-12 years of relevant experience; orMaster’s degree with 5-8 years; or PhD with 2-5 years in thediagnostics, medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotech industry. 2years of direct program or project management experience inregulated product development or clinical laboratory operations.
Demonstrated experience working under design control and executingdesign transfer processes. Familiarity with managing post-approvalregulatory changes and associated cross-functional impacts. PMPCertification is highly desirable. Ability to travel 10-20%.

Proven trackrecord in navigating complex, matrixed environments and leadingcross-functional teams. Expected full time annual base pay scalefor this position is $163K-$204K. Actual base pay will considerskills, experience and location. Based on the role, colleagues maybe eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan tied to companyand individual performance, or an incentive plan.
