Qualified Professional Job Summary:

The Program Coordinator / Qualified Professional collaborates with the I/DD and Dual Diagnosis communities to assist individuals in leading their most fulfilling lives. The primary aim is to empower individuals to make decisions that enhance their quality of life and independence.

Reports To:
Director of IDD Services Key Responsibilities:

Provide clinical oversight and supervision to both staff and individuals receiving support. Facilitate personal growth and independence of service recipients through initial and ongoing staff training and support. Address and respond to the needs of service recipients, their families or guardians, area program staff, and agency board members. Organize and coordinate staff resources. Stay current with required mandated training. Ensure the quality and timeliness of all documentation. Communicate professionally with service recipients, staff, families, area program staff, and other stakeholders. Develop listening and communication skills within staff. Advocate for service recipients in all circumstances. Foster agency growth through high-quality services. Support agency sustainability through prudent fiscal management. Participate in committees as needed. Adhere to TEC policies and procedures, HIPAA guidelines, DHRS regulations, and Medicaid, State, and federal guidelines.

Additional Responsibilities:

In-depth knowledge and skills in clinical supervision methodologies and practices. Proficient in development activities. Expertise in clinical assessment, interventions, methodologies, and outcome evaluations specific to disability populations. Operational knowledge in individual record services and quality assurance activities. Familiarity with program licensure and certification standards. Perform other duties as assigned by administrative or clinical supervisors.

Educational and Professional Experience:
Qualified Professional Requirements:

Must meet the qualifications within the

MH/DD/SAS

system of care: (A) Licensed, provisional licensed, or certified in a relevant human service profession, with four years of full-time experience in MH/DD/SAS, or (B) Master’s degree in a human service field with one year of relevant post-graduate experience, or (C) Bachelor’s degree in a human service field with two years of relevant post-bachelor’s experience, or (D) Bachelor’s degree in another field with four years of relevant post-bachelor’s experience.

Skills and Experience:

Effective collaborative skills with coworkers, management, and external agencies. Clear oral and written communication. Efficient planning and organization. Clean criminal background. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. High level of interpersonal skills for handling sensitive and confidential matters. Proficiency in standard office software and equipment. Ability to handle technical and regulatory information and present it effectively.

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is required. Must be a Qualified Professional in I/DD.

Additional Information:

This is a salaried, exempt position. The role involves regular sitting, handling tasks, talking, and hearing. Occasional standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working in various settings may be required.
