We are seeking a Part-Time Program Assistant to support our Bags of Hope program—where each bag is thoughtfully packed to give children dignity and comfort during one of the most traumatic transitions of their lives.
The ideal candidate is organized, adaptable, and enthusiastic about serving behind the scenes. This role provides vital support to both the BOH Program Manager and the BOH Program Support staff in the execution of logistics, inventory, and administrative tasks. Some external shopping for specific bag needs may be required.

Key Responsibilities:
Assist both the BOH Program Manager and BOH Program Support staff in fulfilling bag requests with accuracy and care Help pack and prepare Bags of Hope based on individualized child needs Organize and maintain the donation room, ensuring all items are clean, sorted, and properly stored Track inventory levels and assist with restocking or ordering items as directed Select clothing, shoes, accessories, and comfort items appropriate for youth and children of varying ages and sizes Operate or assist with Cricut machine personalization (training provided) Complete administrative tasks including data entry, donation logging, and tracking bag fulfillment Shop externally as needed to fill specific or last-minute bag requests Support preparation and participation in occasional evening and weekend events Communicate proactively with the BOH team and other departments to ensure program flow
Qualifications:
Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment Working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, OneDrive) Strong communication and collaboration skills Willingness to learn new systems and tools (e.g., Cricut, spreadsheets) Ability to lift and move donation boxes up to 30 lbs Must have reliable transportation for occasional external shopping trips Background in retail, inventory, or child-serving fields is a plus Passion for serving children in foster and kinship care with excellence and compassion
